Who We Are

We are an international team of experienced entrepreneurs, engineers, developers and industry experts who are passionate about creating innovative, class-leading technologies that change the way we do things.  

Our combined experience, knowledge and expertise in innovative drone technology, fully autonomous proprietary Flight Intelligence systems and wind turbine inspections have allowed us to develop best-in-class hardware and software solutions for the Wind Energy sector.

Our goal is to make the Wind Energy sector smarter and even more efficient through innovative platforms and technologies for all key stakeholders!

Our History

Our Journey has been an exciting one, with increasing milestones and innovations. Aero Enterprise was started in 2015 by Co-Founders DI Peter Fromme-Knoch and Robert Hörmann, to develop innovative flying robot technologies to inspect wind turbines. At this time, Aero Enterprise received its first capital investment funding and was later awarded the coveted EU Horizon 2020 investment to further develop the SensorCopter, an innovative, award-winning autonomous inspection helicopter. As innovations and technologies changed, Aero Enterprise saw significant, new opportunities to move our growing team of developers, mechatronic engineers and industry visionaries towards using professional commercial DJI drones with our new, class-leading, fully autonomous AERO Flight Intelligence System alongside the AI-powered AERO software solutions for the Wind Energy sector.

2015

Aero Enterprise Receives it‘s first investment funding

2018

Aero Enterprise is awarded TUV ISO 9001 Certification.

2019

Horizon 2020. Aero Enterprise is awarded EU investment from the coveted Horizon 2020 project.

2019

First Inspection Campaigns. Aero Enterprise wins and conducts its first on and offshore wind turbine data acquisition campaigns.

2020

BUSS Energy Group Partnership. Buss Energy Group is one of the leading companies in onshore and offshore wind energy in Germany and Europe, covering the assembly, service and repair of wind turbines and rotor blades.

2021

1006 Blades inspected. Aero Enterprise successfully inspected 336 wind turbines in the year 2021

2022

Official DJI Partner. Aero Enterprise becomes the Official DJI Partner for the Optical Inspection of Wind Turbines. DJI is the world market leader in consumer and professional drones.

2022

2700 Blades Inspected. Aero Enterprise successfully inspected 900 wind turbines in the year 2022
